Can we add a spell check function to our posts? I found a good tool here but I lack the knowledge of how to add it to the forum.

I use Firefox and it automatically has a spell check within the forum framework for me. Bow Bow Bow Thank you WildOne you were so right about Firefox.

I use the Google toolbar, which has a spell check for forms, like these posts before they get loaded. (Firefox underlined "toolbar" but Google thought it was fine. (Google also doesn't like "Firefox.")

Yeah, I use a Firefox add on to do my spelling checking.

That software looks good, M&M. Unfortunately, we can't implement it on our forum, because we're hosted by Forumer. So, we're at their mercy when it comes to things like software (including, but not limited to, updates), which they have a general policy of not allowing anyone but themselves to fiddle with. If we were independently hosted, I'd be happy to add that. Sorry. Sad

Unless...Wild, do you know how this might be done?

Sorry, Baker. No idea at the moment. But what is the problem with using Firefox?
BTW, why do you say it is an add-on? I've never installed an add-on to do the spell checking on Firefox. Dunno

The help menu says that the Firefox spellchecker works only on multi-line messages, but it seems to work even on those for me. Very helpful feature.

Dunno. Maybe M&M doesn't have Firefox.

Because I use the British dictionary add-on. Dunno

Ah, OK. So, you've installed that extra feature. I just use the one that comes with Firefox, which you can turn on in the Tools/Options menu.

What I love about the Firefox spellchecker is that you can add as many dictionaries as you want and then easily switch from one dictionary to another with the ease of a right click.
